John D. Wood, Esq. is a Partner of Green Klein & Wood where he represents property owners in insurance matters. He sits on the advisory board of the non-profit organization American Policyholder Association. John earned his juris doctorate from New York University School of Law and his bachelors degrees in English and Philosophy from Texas Christian University where he graduated summa cum laude.  Author, attorney, and professional educator, John’s scholarship on human nature and risk management have appeared in influential law review journals including the NYU Journal of Law and Liberty and the NYU Environmental Law Journal. John has provided educational programs for audiences including the Texas Association of Public Insurance Adjusters, New York State Bar Association, WINDSTORM Network, First Party Claims Conference, and the Attorney General Alliance. His media appearances include Coast to Coast AM Radio and The Innovation Show. He is co-author, with Nada Sanders, of Foundations of Sustainable Business: Theory, Function, and Strategy (Wiley 2e) and The Humachine: Humankind, Machines, and the Future of Enterprise (Routledge). Before joining the firm, John gained in-depth knowledge of how to best prepare and present a claim for property casualty and loss from having served for over a decade as the chief administrative officer of Suncoast Claims, Inc., a public insurance adjusting firm founded and operated by his family. John brings this experience to bear in his outreach and pro bono services to public insurance adjusters nationwide.
